Car Dismissal Rules
Picking children up from school as a parent or guardian is a tough job and sometimes it can easily turn into an angering one. There are several times per month when parents have to cut off on their job, short cut, and dodge children, which is not safe for children and it is something that needs to change for the safety of children.
For the safety of children, there are some unwritten rules of car dismissal that parents should know about and follow. Let’s see what those rules are:
- Get in a proper line.
- Stay in a line and don’t leave it without any credible reason.
- Don’t leave any spaces in the line.
- Don’t leave your car while you are in a line.
- Don’t try to drive around and find gaps to fill in the line.
- Never pull through a free-flowing traffic lane and let the children jump in the car. It is not safe for the children to be picked up this way.
- Don’t talk to the teachers without parking the car and walking up to the teacher.
- Park only where you are supposed, not in the dismissal line or anywhere else where you might be blocking the traffic.
- Don’t let your children run across the parking lot.
- Don’t honk or make your children run to your children.
- Whatever the situation may be, always avoid honking.
- Never use the wrong. Always drive in the right direction.
- Turn off your radio or slow it down because some kind of music may not be appropriate for children and school.
- Beware of your surroundings and what is going on around you. If the line is moving then you should continue moving until you reach your parking spot. Don’t pull in the middle of the line and wait for your child.
- Avoid using mobile phones during car dismissals because it is prohibited and crazy. You could get yourself and others into some kind of emergency.
- Avoid any other activity and focus on getting out of the school as quickly as possible.
- Avoid smoking or any illegal activity such as showcasing weapons on the school property. If something is prohibited and illegal then you shouldn’t do it.
